Hi! I'm Kate - And this is my blog. Here I'll share with yo
u stories about my perspective on distance running, yoga, my love for food, and all things in between.
I started distance running in Jr. High and quicky became hooked. I come from a family of runners and who constantly provided me with encouragement and support (even though I wasn't very good!) But it wasn't until college that I truly pursued my dream, and ran my first marathon at age 18. I have since completed 9 marathons, countless 1/2 marathons, 10-milers, 5k's, and so on. During this time, I also became increasingly interested in health and nutrition, and how it affected my body and my running. In 2012, I re-discovered yoga while recovering from a double pelvic stress fracture. I loved it so much, in fact, that I signed up for teacher training and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) in December 2012.For more info on my yoga teaching schedule, please visit my website, www.katiefreed.com.
I love trying new foods, restuarants, and cooking! I live in Philly with my husband, Joe (also a distance runner), and dog - Manny.
